Right when I received it, I put it on to check and sure enough both discs were warped in the same way. . Even at record shops, most corners will have a little bend to them, but I was pleased when this arrived without a single crease. This review, however, is more for the actual physical product you get in hand. The album is perfection just like Vessel, Regional At Best and self titled Twenty One Pilots.
It's been a long time since I've come across an album that I instantly liked pretty much all of the songs first listen. Despite the intensity of some of the lyrics, when one focuses strictly on the music, it's a party. After listening to Blurryface I had some songs that I really liked, so I started to delve a bit more into their previous album called Vessel. In 2018, Blurryface became the first album in history to have every track receive at least a gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. You will not be disappointed. They're all included on , where abrupt stylistic changes are exciting without being jarring. It's great that they are getting recognition for the songs that have helped countless people through rough times and I cannot wait until they release another album! They do not promote suicide or self loathing, they just bring to light issues your teens might be going through.
They are all amazing in their own way, and I would recommend this to anyone. The songs are some of the most amazing songs I have heard by one single band. Lyrically, the album incorporates themes of mental health, doubt, and religion. While its predecessor, , hinted at the fearless experimental side of the duo -- which also includes drummer -- it was ultimately more precious and innocent. I purchased the vinyl of Blurryface and noticed right away that the record was pretty warped, I tried disc 2 and it had a very similar warp.
The album has sold over 1. Blurryface is the fourth studio album by American musical duo Twenty One Pilots, released on May 17, 2015 through Fueled by Ramen. Like their previous album Vessel 2013 , the album takes influence from various genres, including hip hop, rock, pop, reggae, and indie music. The songs have such meaning to me and I'm positive a lot of other people feel the same way. Not only do I like it, but both my parents and even one of my grandparents like this. There is not a single track that I do not like.
There is either a manufacturing problem or something wrong with the shipping process? Blurryface was well-received by critics, who complimented its themes and musical diversity. They sing about societal issues, their own insecurities and phobias. These 2 guys, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dunn have assembled an interesting mix of music that cannot easily be defined. Oh, and parents of pre-teen and up children that care and actually pay attention to what their kids take in, you won't find any cleaner act in the current musical landscape. I was not familiar with Twenty One Pilots until the end of 2015.
If you like good music, no matter what generation you're of, keep an open mind and give them a listen. The drumming is amazing and the lyrics are compelling. Named after the menacing character that represents the negative in vocalist 's life, is a genre-blending grab bag of styles that sounds like a soundtrack from multiple artists. I am going to return this for a refund and buy it someplace else. I hate to give this one star since I love the music of this album and was very sad to find out the vinyl record was defective. Reggae and dub, industrial and drum'n'bass, indie rock and rap.
I would say anyone who is willing to actually take the time and listen to it will enjoy it, even if you aren't a huge fan of the genre. This has to be my all time favorite album of all time. Everything was really well packaged and I was surprised that none of the corners were bent or creased even a little. Very clever lyrics and a wonderful variety of musical influences woven together in a unique way. I would highly recommend this to anyone with a desire to seek out new and beyond the typical tripe you hear on the radio. I went through the Amazon return process and received a new copy of the record. Just a great album with a lot of great music! I've always seen Muse as influenced by Queen, and I see twenty one pilots very much in the in the same lineage.
